Aviation 14064 is a greenhouse gas inventory workspace tailored to airlines and aircraft operators using ISO 14064 as a reference. It organises aviation activity data, user-approved emission factors, direct and indirect sources, base-year comparisons, reduction initiatives, and evidence for independent review; it does not provide ISO certification, CORSIA verification, or a statutory emissions submission.

What it helps you do

1. Define an aviation inventory boundary

Record the operator, reporting period, fleet context, organisational approach, base year, included operations, and justified exclusions. This makes it clearer whether aircraft, ground equipment, facilities, and contracted activities sit inside or outside the chosen boundary.

2. Organise aviation emission sources

Maintain a source register for aircraft fuel, SAF where applicable, fuel-supply-chain emissions, ground equipment, imported energy, contracted transport, business travel, water, waste, and other relevant activities. The organisation decides which sources apply and documents the reason for inclusion or exclusion.

3. Calculate from reviewed operational inputs

Enter or import activity data and apply factors approved for the reporting purpose. The workflow keeps the activity unit and factor record visible so reviewers can check fuel mass or volume conversions, source year, geography, technology, and calculation boundary.

4. Review categories, trends, and intensity

See totals by the ISO 14064-1 reporting categories, with direct and indirect management views, base-year comparison, and intensity against a configured operating measure. These views support analysis; they do not determine programme eligibility or regulatory liability.

5. Track aviation reduction initiatives and projects

Record initiatives such as fleet, fuel, flight-efficiency, or ground-operation measures with an owner, time frame and expected effect. Where ISO 14064-2 is relevant, organise project baselines, project emissions, leakage, and monitoring information without treating forecasts as verified reductions.

6. Prepare an evidence trail for review

Link calculation records to source descriptions, exclusions, monitoring notes, document versions, evidence items, and unresolved findings. This helps the operator prepare for an independent verification engagement while leaving the verifier's assessment separate.

7. Import and present the working data

The reviewed edition accepts supported CSV activity and factor records, exports the working file as JSON, and produces printable reports. These are working outputs and are not automatic submissions to ICAO, a state authority, an emissions registry, or a trading scheme.

Scope and important limits

Aviation 14064 does not certify the operator, validate a project, independently verify a GHG statement, or determine CORSIA, EU ETS or other scheme obligations. Results reflect the operator's own documented data, factor choices, and boundary decisions, made against current, appropriately licensed standards and programme rules obtained through authorised sources, with independent verification remaining a separate qualified engagement.
